Job Title:Correctional Nurse (LPN)

Job Description:
Join the healthcare team at ArlingtonCounty Jail, where your nursing expertise will directly impact the well-beingof an underserved population. As a Correctional Nurse, you'll work in asecure, collaborative environment providing essential care to incarceratedindividuals. This role offers a unique opportunity to grow professionally whilesupporting public health and safety. Pay varies based on licensure level (RN orLPN).
KeyResponsibilities:
+ Provide routine and emergency care to inmates
+ Administer medications and manage chronic/acute conditions
+ Conduct health assessments and maintain accurate documentation
+ Collaborate with physicians, mental health staff, and correctional officers
+ Respond to medical emergencies and participate in crisis interventions
+ Educate patients on wellness and preventive care
+ Uphold facility protocols and healthcare standards
Qualifications:
+ Active LPN license in Virginia
+ Minimum 1 year of correctional healthcare experience
+ Current BLS certification
+ TB screening (PPD, chest x-ray, or questionnaire)
+ Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements
+ Must be 18 years or older
+ Weekend availability required
+ Willingness to travel or relocate for the assignment
