As an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer/Developer, you'll work with a team of experienced engineers to design, test, and optimize Monnit's sensors, gateways, and communication modules. You'll gain practical experience across the full development cycle-from concept and prototyping to testing and production support.
You'll contribute to:
Firmware testing and validation for new and existing Monnit products
Hardware characterization and troubleshooting , ensuring reliable sensor performance
Collaborating on schematic design reviews and assisting in PCB layout and verification
Implementing firmware updates and testing new features in C, C#, or Python
Participating in daily team planning meetings and sprint reviews
This position provides strong exposure to IoT device development , wireless communication, and embedded system design-perfect for engineers ready to apply their academic experience to production hardware.
Monnit provides on-the-job training for our products, tools, and development processes. Candidates should bring:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
1+ years of hands-on experience through internships, senior projects, or lab work
Working knowledge of:
Firmware development: C, C#, Python, or JavaScript
Hardware design: schematic capture and PCB layout (KiCad experience preferred)
Debugging tools: oscilloscopes, multimeters, or logic analyzers
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively and communicate technical ideas clearly
