We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Food Quality Assurance Supervisor to oversee and ensure the quality and safety of all food products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring food safety and quality management systems that meet internal standards, regulatory compliance, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:Develop and manage food safety and quality control programs in line with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF).
Conduct regular audits and inspections of production facilities and processes to ensure compliance with internal and external standards.
Investigate and resolve quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances.
Train staff on quality standards, food safety protocols, and sanitation procedures.
Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and ensure preventive controls are implemented effectively.
Oversee product testing procedures for microbiological, chemical, and physical contaminants.
Collaborate with procurement, R&D, production, and logistics teams to ensure product integrity throughout the supply chain.
Maintain proper documentation for traceability, recalls, and regulatory inspections.
Stay current with food industry regulations , technological advances, and quality assurance trends.
Lead or participate in product recalls or crisis management situations as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field .
Minimum of 5 years of experience in food quality assurance, preferably in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, SQF, BRC).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Certification in HACCP, PCQI, or equivalent (preferred).
