Permanent- Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC)

Location: San Ysidro, CA 92173
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $100,000.00/year

Start Date: ASAP

Education Requirement:
Master’s degree in Counseling or equivalent psychotherapy-related field from an accredited university or college.

License & Certification Required:

• Current California LPCC license
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
• BLS certification

Experience Required:

• Combination of education and experience per state standards
• Prior community mental health experience preferred
• Must demonstrate cultural sensitivity and competency in psychotherapy

Position Summary:
The Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor provides psychological assessments, brief evidence-based therapy, and crisis interventions using the Primary Care Behavioral Health Model . Works closely with primary care teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans for children, adults, and families. Ensures culturally competent care that aligns with California regulations, clinical standards, and ethical guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct behavioral health evaluations and brief therapeutic interventions
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EHR
• Provide crisis intervention and suicide risk assessments
• Participate in QA programs, peer reviews, and staff development activities
• Supervise interns or unlicensed staff as needed
• Promote patient privacy and HIPAA compliance

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of integrated behavioral health, co-occurring disorders, and SBIRT/IMPACT models
• Excellent communication, organization, and clinical judgment
• Ability to engage sensitively with diverse populations

Work Conditions:

• Office/clinic-based environment
• May include occasional evening or weekend coverage
• Must complete pre-employment physical, background check, and vaccination requirements
