Job Description

Amergisis searching for a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse for an ICE detentioncenter. The Correctional LPN works in collaboration with other healthcareprofessionals, correctional officers, and administrators to ensure thewell-being of the incarcerated population. The Correctional LPN utilizestheir knowledge to address the specific challenges and limitations of thecorrectional environment while providing care to their patientpopulation. This care includes both routine and emergency health care ina correctional facility setting. Shifts: This position requiresavailability to work: day, evening and night shifts; availability duringweekends and holidays is also required. Current opening: full time, nights Requiredexperience and education: Graduate froma Vocational/Practical Nurse program approved by a State, the District ofColumbia, or a U.S. territory. Must have aminimum of one-year experience in a hospital, medical office, or outpatientclinical setting. Experience ina detention/correctional or residential healthcare setting preferred. Must becapable of passing a federal background check Requiredlicensure and certifications: Maintainscurrent, full and unrestricted LVN/LPN license by the state in which the dutystation is located, or a compact state that allows practice in the state inwhich the duty station is located. Maintains BLSfor Healthcare Providers® certification through the American HeartAssociation®. CertifiedCorrectional Health Professional or Certified Corrections Nurse credentialpreferred.
