This role is for a Medical Assistant in a general cardiology clinic. The MA will provide clinical and administrative support, including patient care, chart preparation, telephone triage, and authorization forms. The position may involve travel to satellite clinics within the Seattle area. A minimum of six months of experience as a Medical Assistant is required; cardiology experience is preferred but not mandatory. The position is a 13-week contract with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role.

Responsibilities:
- Patient care, including vital signs, medication refills, and other clinical tasks as directed.
- Chart preparation and maintenance.
- Telephone triage and handling patient inquiries.
- Processing authorization forms.
- Administrative tasks, including data entry and inbasket management.
- Potential travel to satellite clinics in the Seattle area (Edmonds, Ballard, Redmond, Bellevue).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- At least six months of experience as a Medical Assistant (experience in primary care may substitute for cardiology experience).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience with EPIC charting system.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation (personal vehicle required).
- Medical Assistant certification (MA-C preferred, MA-R acceptable).
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Cardiology experience.
- Medical Assistant certification (MA-C).
Special Considerations:
- Position is a 13-week contract with potential for conversion to permanent employment.
- Travel to satellite clinics is a possibility. Reliable personal transportation is mandatory; public transportation is not an option.
- Facility may call off the traveler for up to one shift per pay period.
- Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Seattle or be willing to relocate.
- On-call duties are not required.
Scheduling:
- Five 8-hour days per week, Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
- No weekend work required.
- No block scheduling available.
