FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN – UP TO $70 / HOUR + BONUS  

IG Burton & Co., Inc is looking for an experienced diesel technician to join our Blue Bird Bus Operation on the Western Shore of Maryland as as field service technician. If you have experience working on school or transit buses,are Cummins trained / certified and are looking for a career with room to grow – we want to talk to you. 

Job Brief:   The goal is to support the IG Burton Blue Bird Bus operation by providing exemplary service and technical support for our bus customers, improving customer satisfaction, maximizing customer retention for sales and service, resulting in increased profitability.

Position Reports to:  General Manager

Primary Area of Responsibility:   Western Shore of Maryland

Responsibilities:  

• Provide service and customer support either by phone or in person as situation requires.
• Diagnose technical problems and determine proper solutions.
• Manage on-site warranty repairs or if necessary, facilitate sending bus to IG Burton or IG Burton authorized service center for repair.
• Insure that all warranty claims are properly documented and submitted to warranty administrator for submission.
• Work with warranty administrator to insure that all claims submitted are paid.
• Produce timely and detailed service reports as may be required.
• Follow all company procedures and protocols.
• Assist customers with parts orders as necessary.
• Cooperate with IG Burton service, parts and sales team and share information across the organization.
• Visit customers and build positive relationships encouraging the use of IG Burton service department.
• Comprehend customer needs and make appropriate recommendations.
• Work with other Field Service Technicians and assist with their customers as needed.
• Any other duties as assigned by General Manager.
