Job Description

This role is for an Operating Room Nurse responsible for providing skilled nursing care within the operating room environment. The Registered Nurse will perform a variety of tasks related to patient care, collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. A minimum of two years of experience is required.

Responsibilities:

- Providing skilled nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Assisting the surgical team with procedures and maintaining a sterile environment.
- Monitoring patient vital signs and administering medications as prescribed.
- Preparing patients for surgery and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Documenting patient care accurately and completely.
- Collaborating with other members of the surgical team.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintaining a safe and efficient operating room environment.

Required Skills & Certifications:

- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field.
- Minimum of two years of hospital experience (preferably in an operating room setting).
- Clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills.
- Interdisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

- Experience in an operating room setting.
- Advanced certifications or specializations in surgical nursing.
