ABOUT THE ROLE
The Production Manager will be responsible for ensuring the successful operations of a portfolio of accounts, including budget control, delivery of quality products, crew training, safety and equipment allocation and assignment. This role manages crews, monitors job progress, and works closely with Account Managers to ensure client expectations are met. The Production Manager also plays a key role in workforce planning, scheduling, safety enforcement, and equipment coordination, while supporting employee development and maintaining strong client relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Daily Operations
Oversee day-to-day landscape maintenance production, ensuring all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Monitor daily crew performance, including route assignments, time sheet accuracy, and attendance tracking.
Collaborate closely with Account Managers to ensure project plans are executed efficiently and aligned with client expectations.
Develop and implement production schedules, resource allocation strategies, and workflow systems to improve productivity.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards (e.g., OSHA), and industry best practices.
Conduct regular site visits and quality control inspections to monitor service delivery and promptly address any issues.
Communicate and coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
Track budgets, labor hours, material usage, and job costs to maximize profitability.
Make route adjustments and crew reassignments as needed to maintain contract timelines and coverage.
Collaborate with mechanics and equipment personnel to resolve operational or mechanical issues promptly.
Review and approve daily timesheets for all crew members, ensuring accuracy and addressing any discrepancies promptly to maintain proper labor tracking and payroll processing.
Crew Management & Mentorship
Onboard and train crew members on company standards, safety procedures, and best landscaping practices.
Conduct regular crew performance reviews, set measurable goals, and provide mentorship and coaching for continuous improvement.
Support crew members with administrative needs, such as PTO requests, accessing employee portals (e.g., HCM), and understanding performance programs like Bonusly.
Foster a positive, respectful team environment focused on accountability, development, and service excellence.
Responsible for tracking SUFS program data for all crew members, ensuring accurate documentation of safety performance and participation to support timely and correct payout.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in landscape maintenance, field operations, or crew leadership in a production environment.
1+ years in a management role.
Bachelor's degree in horticulture or related industry preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of landscape maintenance practices, seasonal services, and enhancement work.

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and related software.
