As a Contract Psych/Behavioral Health Registered Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide compassionate care to patients with mental health conditions
• Monitor patients' mental and physical health
• Take patient vitals, do assessments, document progress and report changes to the facility physician
• Assist with therapy sessions
• Work closely with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to implement treatment plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and plan for discharge

A few must-haves for Psych/Behavioral Health RNs:

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active RN license in GA
• Minimum of 1 full year experience as an RN. Preferably in psych or behavioral health setting
• CPR certification
• Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
• Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion
