RN Manager – Labor and Delivery
Location: Houston, TX
Schedule: Full-Time | Night Shift (No Weekends)
Pay Range: $45.00 – $58.00 per hour (based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus & Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and confident RN Manager to lead a high-volume Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit in Houston, TX. This is a key leadership opportunity within a nationally recognized women’s health center, overseeing one of the busiest L&D units in the state, with over 800 births each month.
This role requires strong clinical judgment, outstanding leadership abilities, and a passion for maternal and newborn care. As the RN Manager, you’ll be responsible for operational oversight, team development, quality improvement, and coordination of patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily clinical operations for a 15–20 bed Labor & Delivery unit
Coach and support nursing staff to drive engagement and accountability
Oversee quality and safety initiatives to improve maternal and newborn outcomes
Collaborate with physicians, directors, and interdisciplinary teams for seamless care delivery
Ensure compliance with all clinical, safety, and regulatory standards
Manage staffing, budgeting, and performance tracking
Serve as a clinical role model and mentor for bedside nurses
Qualifications:
Active RN license in Texas
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
3–5 years of recent acute care Labor & Delivery leadership experience
AWHONN Fetal Monitoring (required within 6 months of hire)
BLS and NRP certifications required (NRP within 6 months of hire)
ACLS preferred
