VMD Corp, part of Xcelerate Solutions, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Airport Security Supervisor to lead a team of security professionals at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) . The ideal candidate will oversee security operations, ensure compliance with regulations, and maintain a high standard of safety and customer service. 

Job Description

What you will do:

Grow in a fulfilling career as an Airport Security Guard Supervisor working alongside a team of aviation security professionals. You will use your outstanding customer service and critical-thinking skills while providing essential security services at Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE). The successful candidates will be responsible for managing a team of security guards at key locations within the airport, ensuring passenger safety, and preventing unauthorized access to restricted areas.

Team Management

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of security guards across all airport locations
• Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback
• Identify training needs and facilitate ongoing professional development for team members

Security Operations

• Oversee security procedures at exit lanes, access gates, and loading docks
• Ensure compliance with TSA regulations and airport security protocols
• Coordinate with airport authorities and law enforcement on security matters
• Respond to and manage security incidents or emergencies

Quality Assurance

• Conduct regular audits of security procedures and documentation
• Implement and maintain quality control measures for all security processes
• Analyze security data and prepare reports for airport management

Customer Service

• Serve as a liaison between security staff and airport stakeholders
• Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns related to security procedures
• Promote a culture of excellent customer service among security personnel

Qualifications

What you will need:

• Security Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in airport security, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Active Wisconsin Security Guard License
• Thorough knowledge of airport security protocols
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in security management software and reporting tools
• U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status
• Ability to pass SIDA Badge background check
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform security-related tasks
