UAV Test Engineer

Location: Scottsdale, AZ

Our client is a unique startup with an automated UAV solution for large industrial customers.They are looking for a UAV Test Engineer to join their team. The position is based in Scottsdale, AZ.

Our client has developed a pilotless automated UAV solution, the first of its kind in the global market. We provide an end-to-end, fully automatic UAV solution for collecting aerial data and gaining insights. Our industrial grade platform enables industries such as mining and oil & gas to access aerial data in a faster, safer, more efficient manner.

The ideal candidate should be a quick thinker, ambitious, and eager to learn as well as a team player. Additionally, the ideal candidate must never take no for an answer and always be willing to work hard to achieve under extreme circumstances.

Job Requirements:

5-10 years of experience in product Testing in the aerospace industry

5-10 years of experience in PCB testing

5-10 years of experience in manufacturing test for electro mechanics and electronics

Experience with robots, sensorics, industry automation and PLC

Understand testing uses and methods

Good Hadoop skills

At least 2 years of experience of working in an Agile, fast-paced environment

Excellent knowledge in testing skills (design test plan and test strategy, writing test cases, executing test cases)

Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

Great interpersonal and communication skills

Responsibilities:

Develop test strategy

Write test specification with input and output requirements

Liaise between Manufacturing, Engineering, and contract manufacturers regarding development assembly

Analyze product testability and design test strategy

Conduct overall test coverage of the testing process

Ensure that the testing process is in line with product quality requirements

Monitor yields and improve testing process to achieve highest level of quality and minimum false rejects

Able to write and maintain test software for automated testers

Work close with test houses to develop test equipment

Responsible for timely execution of test equipment and production trials
